Keeping you safe is our first priority!
If you have information about a serious crime (homicide, non-fatal shooting, rape, robbery, breaking and entering, auto theft or an assault) or you know the whereabouts of a person wanted by the police you can earn a reward up to $1000 and remain anonymous by calling 1-800 SPEAK UP.

When you call that number you will reach our call center in Toronto, Canada. They are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and are trained to receive your call. There are no police at the call center. Your call is not recorded. There is no caller I.D. After the operator takes your information you will be given a tip I.D. number. Do not lose that number as it will be needed when you follow up on your tip and when a reward is paid. Do not share that tip number with anyone.
The call center will advise you to call our offices (313) 922-5000 on Thursday or Friday after the third Wednesday of the month. This is because the Crime Stoppers Reward Court meets on the third Wednesday of each month to determine a reward for arrests made based on your tip. When you call let us know if you have any information as to whether you know of an arrest so that we can also follow up with the police. Our tips are given to various police departments in Michigan, the Sheriff's Department, Michigan State Police, Federal Bureau of Investigation and other law enforcement agencies depending on who we think is best qualified and has the time for an investigation. Sometimes the tip is given to more than one agency.

Crime Stoppers is a Non-Profit Organization and can only be as effective as our resources. We welcome your donations.
To donate please send a check to Crime Stoppers of Michigan and mail to: 10900 Harper Avenue, Detroit, MI 48213, or by credit card please call (313) 922-5000.
